18th ASIA-PACIFIC SOCIOLOGICAL ASSOCIATION CONFERENCE 2023 IN SYDNEY

Join us for the 18th ASIA-PACIFIC Sociological Association Hybrid Conference to be held on July 2-4, 2023 at Sydney, Australia. This year’s theme is “Diversity, Inclusion & Social Cohesion: Towards social & environmental advancement & SDG attainment”. The event will be held at the Susan Wakil Health Building, University of Sydney. 

Heading the list of speakers for the event is Professor Emma E. Porio, President of RC46 (Clinical Sociology) with the International Sociological Association, and current President of the Asia Pacific Sociological Association (APSA) from the Ateneo de Manila University, Philippines. With her are Professor Joshua Burns, from the University of Sydney, Australia, Associate Professor Syeda Zakia Hossain, APSA Secretary from the University of Sydney, Australia, Professor Miwako Hosada, APSA Vice President 2023 from Seisa University, Japan, Professor Dai-Yeun Jeong from Jeju National University, South Korea, Professor Michele Ford from Sydney Southeast Asia Centre and ISA Research Committee on Labour Movements, Associate Professor Maria Aurora Teresita Tabada from Visayas State University, Philippines, and Professor Janeen Baxter from the University of Queensland, Australia.
