Midterm Conference

The Coastal Cities at Risk in the Philippines (CCARPH) has conducted its Midterm Assessment Conference with the theme, “Bridging Science-Policy-Practice Nexus Through Transdisciplinary Research and Climate Action” last November 11, 2019 at The Loft, Arete, Ateneo de Manila University. The sessions for this year’s conference were organized in a way that brought together several Work Themes composed of physical and social scientists, environmental scientists, academic and local government partners, to address certain pressing themes (e.g. climate variability and health, air quality, water security and governance, gender and livelihood, barangay resilience, technology-driven solutions) and to reinforce the importance of a science-policy-practice nexus.
